Aemilia: Undiscovered Country

Separated by lockdown, English actor Adam and American actress Diana are instructed to keep rehearsals for their production of Measure for Measure going on Zoom, whilst they wait to hear when the play can be staged. Things are not going well until a chance remark about the Shakespeare authorship starts the two off on a quest - not only trying to prove who the true author was but saving themselves from the pandemic at the same time.

Aemilia Bassano Lanier was an English poetess - the first woman to have original work published in the English language. A noted beauty, with a rich Italian and Jewish heritage, Aemilia is already a towering historical figure. Already considered by some to be the Dark Lady of the Sonnets, her life is intricately intertwined with the thread of the Shakespeare canon, thus making her one of the more interesting potential authors to have emerged in recent years.
